First I love your blog. I have enjoyed blog hopping today and seeing the lives of everyone and their unique scrapbook styles. I love the Black/White book I saw just below the girls.

As for honesty... here goes... Put some "POP" in your header. Find something that makes a statement and says something about you. Make it unique and personal...

Hi there

Difficult one as I have a similarly designed blog to you. I haven't made the plunge into headers and borders simply because I haven't yet found something suitable or that I like enough!!!
Find a picture that defines your personality or your favourite thing or your family.

Best of luck and simple can be beautiful too you know, I love your blog.

Hi there, I am a new follower thanks to RP. I have to say I love our blog. The combination of family, honesty and crafting is wonderful. Plus of course the things we have in common. Congrats on your H.S. FB team doing so well. I know the feeling We have had the best start to the year since 1985 (usually bottom of conference) and just last night beat one of the top teams in the state. I will have to show the cheerleading coach how your school has the little cheerleaders out there with the regular ones. My youngest would give anything to be cheering just like that with her big sister. Anyway I really didn't see anything that looks like it needs to be "updated" or changed. Congrats on an awesome blog.

I think your blog is wonderful and I love the photographs you've added of your Daughter, she's so cute. As you asked for honesty about the look of your blog here goes :) Only a couple of things that stand out to me really and the first is the black background, I always find the text a little harder to read when it's black, things go a little fuzzy. The second thing is your blog header, it doesn't invite me in. I think the name of your blog is great and it could possibly benefit from a little jazzing up. I hope this helps and of course, just my personal opinion. I think your posts and your creations are superb. Chris:)

Would probably have to agree with the other girls. If you were looking to really make it stand out then a flashy cool header would be the trick. Mind you my blog has a very similar header to you and I am happy with it for now.... Good luck with your improvements though.

I always hate it when people ask me to be honest, being an aquarian though I don't usually have a problem being honest so
I think it needs a splash of colour.I don't know if your a bright girl or a pastel girl. Th black is very sophisticated but I think some swirly bits in your fave colours would look fab.
I love purple and swirly bits, as you'll be able to see from my blog. Good luck with your revamp and those pics of Anna cheering are just too cute

I really love all your creations...but I do think you should add a background or something in your header to make a statement about who you are or what you love! Thank you for sharing this blog candy!

Thanks for these first comments... you all hit the #1 thing I want to do on my blog... my header! Yes, it sure needs some help... I haven't taken the time to research how to do it, but I totally agree with you guys, it is TIME!

The second thing is the border... Debbi, I like the idea of simple color swirlies on the sides... I don't want it too busy to distract or compete with the posts... I have to research that, too!

I know I will find some great inspiration from your blogs as I do my own personal "hop" and check out your internet homes! :-)

I would LOVE SOME MORE comments/ideas... keep them coming! Oh, and I will be randomly drawing the winner for this prize by 10AM MST, tomorrow, Sept. 21st...

Well since I am anew follower I went back and read some past blogs of yours! =) But I think that your blog is great! If anything I personally know that there can never be to many posts with LO's and crafts. =) I loooove to see what other people do and to get inspiration. I think you so AMAZING work. I hope that my work eventually becomes as great as your!

I actually like your blog the way it is - it is easy to navigate and read!

i think a new header but also a cool background. shabby blogs, pyzam, etc all have backgrounds that are easy to add to what you already have.

go to other's blogs that you like and see what they have and do something similar.

hi!!!!

I agree with the others..a little fun in the header a little pop of color somewhere. You can keep the black...black goes with everything!! hee hee that's the only things I would change...I for one don't really like music when I come to blogs...BUT THAT's just me....Scares the beez outta me when the music starts playing, but I don't think it something you should change!

I absolutely adore your blog. I found it due to RP but I will became a follower because I like it! The only thing I would add is a bit of color if you are looking for a change. (but if you don't change a thing I will still come back)

I hate having to be honest!! however I agree with what some of the others have said before me about adding a header.

There are many free ones to download however my favourite site for blog headers and backgrounds is the House of 3. Rhonna Farrer is one of the 3 designers. If you have time click on the link to my blog and you will see one of the backgrounds. She also sells a sophisticated one with a chandelier.

The content of your blog however is perfect!! so don't stop what you are doing. The pretty headers and backgrounds just add icing :-)

Good luck

Your blog content is great-- but come on--your a creative gal I mean look at the wonderful creations you have posted!!!! Throw one of those up in your header and come out of the dark with a lighter background!!! Black is for ..... well its not for the happy creations you do!!

Please that as constructive critisim... not being mean!!!
