WOO HOO... Another Top 10 layout on 2Peas

I just had to share this layout I made with the brand new "Pop Star" line by Rusty Pickle. Miss Rachelle Minett, one of the Rusty Pickle Chef's (DT member) from Australia, designed this awesome line of "doodle-rific" papers! I'm just tickled that it has ended up on the 2Peas Top 10 list!!! Click on the title above (WOO HOO... Another Top 10 layout on 2Peas) and it will take you straight to my 2Peas gallery where you can see the layout and vote, too!!! Have a GREAT day!!!

Early, yes... but a BEAUTIFUL Easter!

March 23rd... WOW, this year Easter was really early! We had our big annual St. Patrick's Day party only one week before Easter! We were a bit concerned about the weather since one of the highlights of the annual Easter weekend at Mom and Dad's house is swimming in the pool for the first time of the year, but we shouldn't have been concerned! It was around 100 degrees, slight breeze, incredibly glass colored blue skies... another PERFECT Southern California Easter! Hope you enjoy a few shots of our 2008 Easter weekend...

Friend Spotlight - Jennifer Matott

SERIOUSLY... SERIOUSLY... This girl is TALENTED!!! Jen and I are on the Crop Addict Design Team and everytime she posts another layout I am simply blown away! She is one that I can honestly say, "Creates Art!" Her layers... her unique way of using ribbon and transparencies... her sewing... just everything she does is one step above brilliant! I included a slide show of two of her layouts because you just have to see the close up details of her work!!!

You can check out more of Jen's (also known as Sigmagirl) work in her Crop Addict gallery found here... http://www.cropaddict.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=423

Hope you enjoy Jen's work as much as I do... so much inspiration... so much eye candy!!! Wooooo Hooooo!!!

IT'S HERE...I'm in CREATING KEEPSAKES!

HOLY COW!!! I can hardly believe that I am holding my first Creating Keepsakes publication in my hands!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!! My "E is for Easter" mini book and twig purse are on pages 107-108 of the April 2008 issue of CK. There is also an online article extension that you can get to by clicking on the title above. This extension is an article I wrote about the mini album and tips for printing photos on grocery store bags. Also, my pirate ship layout is in the extension.

I am so darn tickled!!! And there is more good news! My 2nd publication with CK will be coming in June... and I just had a project picked up by "Home and Heart Magazine" that will be published in August! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!

SPECIAL LINK... A special friend posted the most touching and heartfelt story on her blog about Jeff and me and her congrats on my first CK pub. She was able to get our courtship, proposal, cancer and scrapping into a few short paragraphs and reduced Jeff and me to tears... happy tears... Thank God we made it throught that tears... love tears... Check out Eileen's post on her blog "Life in the Sandpit" called, "Tracey's Published." http://lifeinthesandpit-eileen.blogspot.com/

Off to start the corned beef and cabbage... yep... today is the big Donnelly St. Patrick's Day dinner here at the house! Time to get GREEN

Willy Wonka Himself!

Jeff is a movie nut. He loves movies. He quotes movies. He appreciates good acting and great performances. He LOVES his comedies, will cry with me through a good "chick flick", and has a special place in his heart for old, black and white movies. Then there are the movies that he watched over and over and over during his high school/college/frat days... "Animal House," "Blazing Saddles," and "Repo Man."

This week, Jeff had the opportunity to meet one of his favorite all time actors, Mr. Gene Wilder. Mr. Wilder was signing books at a local "Borders" so we just had to go down and see him in person. He is older now, but still has that wild hair and beautiful eyes. His work has spaned decades, but will always be known to kids around the world as Willy Wonka (the only Willy Wonka that I care to remember!). Jeff loved him in so many things but "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein" are probably his favorites. It was fun to see this legend in person and certainly a "Woo Hoo" moment!
