My last Rusty Pickle DT Assignments... (sniff, sniff!)... GIVEAWAY...

I didn't intend for these layouts to be my last Rusty Pickle Design Team assignments, but it turned out that way.  Sadly, Rusty Pickle, the company that I have loved for YEARS and have designed for over the past 2 1/2 years closed its doors this week.  This economy has been dreadful for the scrapbooking/paper crafting industry, and the closing of Rusty Pickle is a very sad loss!  I wish the owners, Tasha and Lance, the best as they close down their business and move on with their future.  I have had a wonderful time getting to know the other designers, traveling to Utah for 3 scrappy retreats, traveling around California to work the booth and teach classes for Rusty Pickle, and learning about design, publication, and this incredible industry.  I will, OF COURSE, continue to scrap with Rusty Pickle (since I have a bunch of product!), so you will continue to see Rusty designs from me for some time.
To help give Rusty Pickle a proper send off, I will be randomly drawing a winner from those of you that post below... I want to know what you love about Rusty Pickle and what you will miss... a certain product... a certain line... what will you miss?  Post a comment by midnight, February 8th to be entered into the drawing... and, sorry, you have to be a US resident.  (I just lost my source of income, remember!)  If you recommend a friend to post a comment, I will give both of you a 2nd entry for the drawing!  So, call your friends, and let's CELEBRATE what we love about Rusty Pickle!!!

It's so sad to hear about the loss of Rusty Pickle. There was such a varied mix of products. I really liked the Brass Knuckles. It had all the elements for teenagers ;)

RP was one of my fav. manufac.'s cause I LOOOVED all their distressed looks in the products. Too hard to pick a fav. line but I will miss them. Very sad day when I got the news.

I wanted to join in and share my favorite lines... oldies but goodies... I use "Princess Bride" ALL THE TIME! The classic black, white and cream is great for all sorts of projects!

Ohhh, and "Island Summer..." rich colors... fun prints... I used it in the beach layout here.

And there is one line that I NEVER thought I would use... I thought it was cute, but I couldn't imagine how I would use it... "Pop Star..." What an AMAZING line! I have used it time and time again... my first cover layout was using that line!

Keep the comments and the Pickle love coming!!! ;-)

Love their pirate line for boys......and the old-world, distressed feel of all the products....such a shame!

I am so sad that Rusty Pickle is closing it's door. I liked everything about their paper lines. I think I have used most of them in my scrapbooks. It would be too hard to say one was more of a favorite than another. I am now off to bookmark several of the dt's blogs so I don't lose the inspiration you all give us.

Rusty Pickle used to be my fav I would always stock up at the Expo's because most of my LSS out here did not carry them and they were on my all time Favorite list This is so unfortunate so a great little company.
My favorite was the Pirate Princess and Rockin America and I think it was Under the Stars..
